DAY 1

We begin the day with an interactive breathing class 

Then we discuss how to:

  • Assess breathing
  • Progress and regress breathwork
  • Individualize breathwork to specific needs
  • Incorporate breathwork in the weight room
  • Apply breathwork to aerobic training

Next, we will cover theories and approaches in fitness that include:

  • The biomechanics of the ribcage and pelvis
  • Where does Dynamic Systems Theory factor into improving movement?
  • When do we incorporate local strategies vs global strategies?
  • Where do mobility and flexibility fit into your programming?
  • When should you focus on someone’s gait?
  • Understanding foot & ankle biomechanics

Next, we will cover theories and approaches in fitness that include:

  • The biomechanics of the ribcage and pelvis
  • Where does Dynamic Systems Theory factor into improving movement?
  • When do we incorporate local strategies vs global strategies?

  • Understanding active vs passive gaps in mobility
  • Simplifying strength into quantifiable assessments

We begin the day with a 90-minute mobility class

Then we break into groups for interactive learning:

  • Redefining how to coach the hinge, squat, press, and row
  • Using constraints to improve training results
  • Utilizing communication for ideal outcomes
  • Breaking down scapular & glenohumeral mechanics
  • Adding rotation to strength and conditioning to improve mobility

We begin the day with a 90-minute mobility class

Then we break into groups for interactive learning:

  • Redefining how to coach the hinge, squat, press, and row
  • Using constraints to improve training results
  • Utilizing communication for ideal outcomes
  • Breaking down scapular & glenohumeral mechanics

  • Implementing breathing strategies with strength training

What is the purpose of the fitness workshop?

The purpose of the fitness workshop is to provide education and training for personal trainers, coaches, and therapists. We give you the tools to succeed with your clients!

What topics will be covered in the workshop?

We will cover how to integrate multiple systems with breathing, mobility, and strength. We focus on the integration of the lower body and upper body with a deep dive into the ribs and pelvis. 

Who is the target audience for the workshop?

The target audience for The Spectrum workshop is personal trainers, coaches, and therapists who want to learn the methods and programming that we have had success with over the years. We encourage all levels to join us.

Is prior experience or certification required to attend the workshop?

No, we do not have prerequisites.

What is the cost of attending the workshop?

$500 early bird, $600 regular price.

How long is the workshop?

9:30 am to 4:30 pm with a lunch break
