Markow Training Systems is excited to announce our new Fitness Workshop series – The Spectrum. 

The Spectrum Fitness Workshop is a two-day mixture of lectures, hands-on coaching, and interactive problem-solving.

The goal of this fitness workshop is to shed light on the full spectrum of training while providing students with specific solutions to individualize their approach.

We will show you exactly how and why we built our training system so you can level up how you approach your clients/ patients.

The schedule for our fitness workshop is divided like this:

DAY 1  

We will start with an interactive class serving as a deep dive in breathing. 

Breathing is first line of defense against stress

Topics Include How to:

  • Assess Breathing 
  • Measure Progress
  • Progress and Regress Breathwork
  • Individualize Breathwork to Specific Needs
  • Incorporate Breathwork in the Weight Room
  • Apply Breathwork to Aerobic Training

 

From here we will go into a lecture covering the blending of different theories and approaches in fitness.

Topics include:

  • How important is the Biopsychosocial Model?
  • Where does Dynamic Systems Theory Factor into Improving Movement?
  • When do we Incorporate Local Strategies vs Global Strategies?
  • Where do Mobility and Flexibility Fit into Training?
  • Should Improving Gait be a Goal for everyone?
  • What is Irradiation and when is it the best choice?

 

Next up we will go through an Interactive Full Body Assessment.

DAY 2 

Our second day of the fitness workshop starts with a 90-minute Mobility Class focusing on specific local strategies through the lens of mobility training.

We will discuss the order of operations across multiple contexts. 

For example, how to alter your approach with a ballerina having pain in splits versus a grandma struggling to walk her dog.

 

After class, we will come back to a lecture where we discuss programming for long-term success. 

  • How to implement Breathing Strategies with Strength Training?
  • How can we use Mobility Training to Unlock Strength?
  • What are the Major Factors we need to consider to ensure Long-term Change?
  • How to Communicate Effectively to create Buy-in so Programs are Completed?

After our Programming Lecture, we will break out into our Interactive Session. This will be where we answer all questions and go over the major concepts in detail so that each person can get reps of both coaching movement & feeling it.
